Debate/discuss:

  • ​Have you found that New Zealand’s multicultural society provides opportunities to develop strong cross-cultural competencies?
  • Why do you think it is important to have cross-cultural competencies?
  • What does the term cross-cultural competency mean to you, and how do you think is it best achieved?

The 300-400 word essay has to be in your own words. All essays will be processed through Turnitin. For further information on how to avoid plagiarism, visit the University of Auckland Business School website. All tertiary students located in New Zealand may apply – 100 places only.

Prizes for the two best essay will be either:

  • an iPad, or
  • three one-on-one meetings with experts from industry.

These experts from industry come from our pool of experienced alumni. They are people who have forged ahead in their careers after graduating from the University of Auckland. Each of them will share their experiences and give you insights into their current role, careers, organisations and industries. The sessions will help guide you on your career journey and assist you with your career planning.

The three sessions will be arranged by our alumni team who will select the appropriate industry expert and coordinate suitable meeting time.
